Baseball Keeper League Question?

I'm in a 12-team, 6x6 (regular stats plus OPS and K/9) keeper league. Each team can keep 8 players. Please let me know who you think I should keep.

C: Russell Martin


1B: Paul Konerko, Adam LaRoche, Chris Duncan (OF)


2B: BJ Upton (3B, OF), Howie Kendrick (1B)


3B: David Wright, Alex Gordon (1B)


SS: Jimmy Rollins, Troy Tulowitzki


OF: Carlos Beltran, Jeff Francoeur, Chris Young, Corey Hart, JD Drew





SP: Jake Peavy, Dan Haren, Jeremy Bonderman, Tim Lincecum, Clay Buchholz, Phil Hughes


RP: Trevor Hoffman, Billy Wagner, Jonathan Papelbon, Joel Zumaya

I think Wright, Rollins, Martin and Peavy are automatics because of what they bring to their positions


Papelbon and Lincecum are young. Papelbon is closer on a contending team so should have good save numbers every year while also helping with ERA %26amp; Whip. Lincecum isn't on a good team but his numbers (especially k/9) might compensate for the lack of wins you might get from him.








I would also lean towards keeping Upton (multi position helps) or maybe Gordon %26amp; Chris Young or Dan Haren but could also see a case for Duncan (under rated) or Francoeur (probably strikes out too much) but don't use OPS so wasn't sure how well they scored to help your team.





It might also depend on what other players are being kept and is their a shortage at certain positions. I wouldn't keep either of the AL young pitchers (hughes, Buchholz) because they are facing high powered offenses and will still experience some growing pains.

Reply:JD Drew is very injury prone, so I would dump him. I think you need another catcher, as Russell Martin will get some time off and/or could get injured. I suppose Brian McCann of the Braves is taken?
