Fantasy Baseball?
It's a solid team, I'd give it an 8.





C - McCann is one of the top catcher in the MLB.


1B - Pena is good, but don't expect a repeat of last year's stats.


2B - Upton is great. He's a 30/30 threat at a weak position.


SS - Hanley is a 30/50 threat. Excellent pick.


3B - Beltre is alright.


OF - Lee is consistently good, and Beltran and Markakis are good power/speed combos. Young is also a good 30/30 threat, but Guillen could be traded.


Bench - Votto has tons of power and potential, and Lopez has some speed.





SP - Harang, Maine, and Shields will get tons of K's. Carmona will get lots of wins and a good ERA and WHIP with very few K's. Hudson is solid.


RP - Corpas is an underrated closer, but I don't know how long Lyon will be closing for. Lidge also just got injured lately, and he's normally inconsistent throughout the season.





If I were you, I'd go ahead and get rid of Lidge and try to find a more consistent closer. You could also try and get another ace on your pitching staff. See if someone is willing to overpay for Carlos Pena.

Reply:you offense is solid, hanley ramirez, carlos beltran, nick markakis, b.j. upton and chris young are favorites of mine becasue of their 20/20 abilities. you should have no problem winning the steals department and the home runs department.





pitchers are a diffrent story. maddux, lyon and hughes i can easily see falling on their faces this year(remember hughes had a terible rookie start) guys like shields and harang are going to have 3.5 era's but struggle to get wins. lidge is hurt and may not be ready by opening day.





ill give it an 8 just because i love the o but i would try and sell hanley ramirez for a top pitcher like santana.
Reply:I give it a 7 for 3 reasons:


1) you lack major power that will help get you RBIs and HRs.


2) You lack in speed. You have some speedsters but not many.


3) You have many older pitchers who are running out of gas. You may be able to get a good pitcher by trading Maddux and Hudson.


You defiantly need to improve on your pitching the most.
