Rate Baseball Bogeys Backlash Fantasy MLB Team?
Now assuming I wasn't in the league, and didn't want to say this team was horrible and I hated it because well your my opponent...Lets see shall we?
C - Martinez - Easily one of the best in the game. His combo of power and hitting for average makes him one of the best in the game. If he manages to stay healthy all year, he could easily his 25+
1B - Ortiz - Powerful like a bull. Staying healthy was a hard part last year. If he manages once again, you could see him around 50. Also he needs to get off to a faster start than last year. It really hurt his fantasy numbers
2B - Pedroia - Not the greatest. Could put up some steals, and a lot of runs. I wouldn't expect much else
3B - Cabrera - There is a reason he goes in the top 10 in drafts
SS - Hardy - His start to last year was a nice surprise and was probably the biggest pick-up in each and every fantasy league. Then the all-star break came, and he just died...quickly. Hardy was never himself again. Just hope he isn't a first half player again
OF - Hart, Granderson, Sheff - Hart and Granderson are going to provide a ton of stats in every cat. They are fine tooled players, and should produce again. I don't expect Granderson to have the same year, but if he does...Its a nice steal.. =]. Sheff keeps getting older, but he seems to get better as he ages. Health will always be an issue with him, but he can still crack 25 and 90 in the middle of that DET line-up
UTIL - Hafner, Victorino - Hafner is probably the strongest hitter in the MLB...when he makes contact. If he can focus and produce like years before, he is a nice late round selection. Victorino will destroy people with steals. The runs and SB will be his biggest contribution
Bench - Its full of "upside". That being said, the only known ones there are Matsui (who just lost 1 spot to Bourne in HOU) and Hermida who is a decent bench player. Towles and Votto are young rookies who are going to need to prove themselves this year. Young...he is going to have a huge year in that HR dome.
Pitching
SP - Halladay, Young, Penny, Bonderman - Outside of Beckett, Sabathia, Halladay is probably the best pitcher in the AL. Really quite unknown by a lot of teams in the states, Halladay has cy young numbers each year. Injuries slowed him last year with lack of run support (Had him on 7 fantasy BB teams last year). Young and Penny both playing in the same division isn't that scary. The divison sucks, and as long as they don't get matched up together, its a nice touch. Penny is a notorious first half pitcher, but did manage to string it together last year. Bonderman is the 2nd best pitcher on the DET staff (Verlander is first). Only being 23 and having 4 years of experience Bonderman is set for a huge break-out year. I like this pick.
RP - Outside of Rodriguez, another closer would be nice. The chances that Accardo takes over Ryan's job sometime mid season or earlier could be coming. Ryan sat out much of last year with an injury and Accardo looked great in his place. Between Lyon and Pena for the closers job in AZ. I would suspect Lyon would have the job, but you never know. (You might living in AZ)
Bench - ...Way to many Yankee pitchers. The Yankees staff isn't that great, and Hughes, Kennedy and Pettitte on the same team? Urgh...I thought you had a distaste for the Yankees. Baker on the other hand could end up being a star in Min. Hopefully he gets the chance to produce.
I give it a 8 out of 10. Really your trade with me completely improved your team. Granderson is going to probably only have 30 steals at the most this year, but Berkman might have gotten 1. Also I might suggest trying to get another closer. Its highly possible that you could only end up with 1 closer, and with no Holds, its a scary thought.
Otherwise, I seem to like everybody else's team but mine.
Good luck!!
Edit: I type no more!
Edit 2: Why isn't anybody challenging my answer? Geez...and Miggy don't play for FLA anymore. If he did, Ramirez would have been the #1 pick.
Edit 3: Did you actually read all of this crap?
